Content Removal Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2025
We work to keep the Services safe and respectful, and we take removal requests seriously when content may violate rights or our policies. This policy explains how to request removal of content that appears on or is generated through the Services, including AI-generated content that may unintentionally resemble real people. Any similarity to an actual person is unintentional and coincidental.
This policy forms part of the Terms of Service and works alongside the Privacy Policy, Blocked Content Policy, Underage Policy, DMCA Policy, and Complaint Policy.
1. Scope and Purpose
This policy covers requests to remove content that appears to violate our policies or rights of individuals, including unintentional resemblance to real persons, non-consensual intimate imagery, rights of publicity/persona concerns, and similar issues. Copyright matters should be sent under the DMCA Policy.
2. When You Can Ask Us To Remove Content
You may request removal if content:
- appears to depict you (or someone you represent) without consent, including non-consensual intimate imagery or deepfakes;
- unintentionally resembles you (or someone you represent), including AI-generated likeness or voice;
- infringes rights of publicity or other personality rights;
- violates our Underage Policy or Blocked Content Policy; or
- otherwise violates applicable law or our Terms.
3. How To Request Removal
Contact us (see Contact section below). Include the following so we can review promptly:
- your full name and a way to contact you,
- a description of the content (what it is and why it should be removed),
- where and when you saw it (timestamps, conversation or session IDs, and any screenshots, if available),
- your relationship to the person depicted (self or representative; if representative, your authority to act), and
- a statement that your notice is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
We may ask for limited verification to confirm identity or authority (for example, government ID with nonessential fields redacted, or documentation showing authorization).
4. Our Review and Possible Outcomes
We review requests within a reasonable time. Actions we may take include:
- removing or restricting access to the content,
- limiting features or suspending the account involved,
- preventing re-generation of the same or similar content, and/or
- preserving data where required by law or for investigations.
If we deny a request, we will explain why when we can. We may be unable to remove content if we are legally required to preserve it, or if we cannot verify identity or authority.
5. Repeat Infringers and Safety
We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate this or related policies. Where required (for example, in cases involving child sexual abuse material), we report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or local authorities and cooperate with lawful investigations.
6. Appeals
If you believe our decision was incorrect, reply to our response with additional details or clarification. We will re-evaluate and let you know the outcome.
7. Privacy and Data Handling
We use the information you provide only to verify and process your request, to comply with law, and to protect our users and Services. We retain the minimum necessary records for a limited period as described in the Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
8. Relationship to Other Policies
- DMCA Policy: use for copyright claims.
- Underage Policy and Blocked Content Policy: govern prohibited content and safety standards.
- Complaint Policy: provides an additional channel to raise concerns.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when changes took effect. Material changes may be announced in the Services or by email when appropriate.
10. Contact
